The repetitive drum beat makes it almost impossible not to lose yourself in the moment- it’s almost difficult to keep from turning your thoughts in on their selves as the far away vocals waver around the swirl of guitars. It’s eerily easy to lose yourself in this song, but that doesn’t mean in the dreamy far away way sense, it is tense and dark and fantastic. While we are in an era of sickeningly sweet songs that dominate the radio (here’s looking at you Nicki Minaj) it is nice to hear a darker band making waves. Their latest album Nootropics is out now via Ribbons Music.
