St. Vincent – Grot

Grot, the latest track from St. Vincent makes you feel like you are listening to a 99% rally with some sort of real force. The song chugs with a a feedback driven guitar while Annie Clark chants beat poetry about the “Power Pigs”.  The heavyness is only broken by a group of heavenly sounding choir singers. It isn’t an accessible by any stretch, but it is fantastic if you are looking for a song that sounds like an alien opera.
