Trevor Powers creates his own brand of bedroom pop straight from his own Idaho bedroom. Under the moniker Youth Lagoon he self released his album The Year of Hibernation to critical accolades. This track has the essence of his songwriting- a lost distorted voice over reverberated pianos and surprisingly grand sounding production. It’ll never be something to put on at a party, but it’s the kind of record you’d like to have playing in the intimate moments he sings about.
